Where is the C/C++ Language Manual?

Unlike the previous versions of our compiler manual, this document does not include a C or C++ language manual. There are several reasons for this:

NOTE: the links below are provided as reference only. They are not ImageCraft sites, and if the links become inactive, a web search with the appropriate search terms should locate similar sites.

·         There are several C FAQs, reference manuals, etc. on the web, e.g. http://c-faq.com/

·         GCC mostly implements Standard C, and Standard C++. The base languages are well documented. E.g. http://cplusplus.com/

·         GCC-specific manuals are as follows: (As of this writing, the current GCC release is 7.3.0. Please browse the correct URL to see if a later release is available.)

o   GCC top level info: https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/

o   C Preprocessor: https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-7.3.0/cpp/

o   C: https://www.gnu.org/software/gnu-c-manual/gnu-c-manual.html

o   C++: (none per se)

o   C++ libraries: https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-7.3.0/libstdc++/manual/

ImageCraft also produces a book, “C for Everyone”, a readable reference manual for the Standard C programming language. Please see the page: https://imagecraft.com/products/getting-started/c-4-everyone-book for detail.
