Using GCC Memory Allocator

You may also use the native GCC / libc memory allocator using the standard C functions malloc, calloc, and free. You will need to set up the heap per GCC or JumpStart C++ for Cortex documentation. Memory allocated using libc functions is not tracked by REXIS.

If you are using C++, any memory allocated by the C++ runtime will also use the GCC / libc heap and is again independent of the REXIS memory allocator.
